my roadtrip

East side of the Sierra Nevada
In the summer of 2009 I packed up my jeep with my camping gear, and set out over the mountain passes for a three day camping trip... all by myself.  I think my family thought I was crazy, and many friends of mine offer to go with me, but I knew it was something I wanted to do
on my own.

I started my trip over Sonora Pass (Hwy 108) and stayed a night in Bridgeport, the second night I was in Mammoth, and then I headed over Tioga Pass (Hwy 120) and went through Yosemite.
I took a dip in three different hot springs, visited the Ghost town of Bodie, CA, checked out Mono Lake, and hiked up to Devil's Postpile.

It was an amazing experience, one I have made an annual trip.  Many people have asked if I was scared to do this all alone and I say "no."  These places are like home to me, they call me and when I go, my heart it at peace.
